Mount Pleasant to Rosebush

Over the years of being in business since first opening in St Louis, Bader & Sons Co. has gained a lot of wonderful loyal John Deere customers throughout Isabella County and surrounding area. Seeing the need for a better lawn and garden presence we took the opportunity which presented itself in Mt. Pleasant, opening a store on E Pickard St in April of 2005. Having been received warmly by the community there, we were able to expand our product offerings with Boss snow plows, Stihl hand held equipment and of course continued with a full line of John Deere Commercial & Consumer use products. 

Then, March 29, 2009 tragedy struck. We were completely wiped out by a fire destroying the entire store and most of our inventory. Sent reeling with the unexpected loss we were able to scramble and piece together, with a lot of help from the City and surrounding customer base, to a temporary location behind The Home Depot by July of 2009. Although this got us up and going, deciding where to rebuild was the next big decision. 

Now after 5 successful years in the Mt Pleasant community, we’ve decided to better serve our large and small property owners by moving to Rosebush. With a new location soon to open this year in Rosebush, we will be better able to serve not only the needs of the property owners but those of the area farmers as well. With a resolve to be “Outstanding in Our Field” we feel very fortunate and privileged to continue serving the needs of our customers in this region.
